After co-founding the BaleDoneen Method of heart attack, stroke and diabetes prevention in 2001, Bradley Bale, MD, and Amy Doneen, DNP, ARNP have given more than 1,200 speeches and presentations about their techniques to some 60,000 health care providers in the US and abroad. In 2006, they developed a preceptorship program to teach the method to other doctors, which is accredited for continuing medical education (CME) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. The course is currently offered four times a year in cities across the US.

“Bradley Bale, MD and Amy Doneen, ARNP are on the leading edge of prevention of heart attacks. I love the fact that they never stop studying, learning and conducting the research to stop the number one killer of Americans—cardiovascular disease (CVD). Brad and Amy have a true passion for saving lives—and hearts. I am a firm and vociferous believer in their prevention plan … following it can help you avoid a heart attack.”

Tommy Thompson
Former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services
Four-time Governor of Wisconsin

“Bradley Bale, MD and Amy Doneen, DNP, ARNP are among the most influential names in cardiology and founders of the renowned BaleDoneen Method for preventing cardiovascular events. The duo received acclaim from the scientific community in late 2016 for their role in publicizing the oral-systemic linked through their evidence-based conclusion that periodontal disease is not simply a risk factor for, but a contributing cause of, heart disease.”

Rachel O’Connor, PA-S and Jonathan B. Levine, DMD
“This New, Treatable Cause of Heart Disease is Bridging the Gap Between Doctors and Dentists.”

“As we looked for cutting-edge thought leaders in the field of heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest to serve on our expert panel, one name kept popping up: Dr. Bradley Bale, cofounder of the BaleDoneen Method. I was so impressed by the insights and expertise that Dr. Bale brought to the panel… I told him I’d do everything in my power to spread the word about the remarkably effective heart attack and stroke prevention plan that he and Amy Doneen, ARNP have developed.”

Larry King
Talk Show Host and Heart Attack Survivor

“As an individual, Drs. Amy Doneen and Brad Bale have saved my life! My uncles all died in their 50s from cardiovascular disease and my father died at age 65 after two previous triple-bypass operations in his 50s. I knew I would die of CV disease by age 65. Now I am age 65, all my CV numbers are great, and I will not die from CV disease! As a dentist, Brad and Amy’s teachings are the central focus of my growing fee-for-service practice – helping my patients with education and with root causes of CV disease such as periodontal pathogens, periapical lesions and obstructive sleep apnea. The BaleDoneen Preceptorship greatly improved my life and my dental practice, and it will improve yours!”

Michael L. Milligan, DMD, FAAOSH
Founder & President, OralSystemicLink.net and Past President, American Academy of Oral Systemic Health

“As a lipidologist for 10 years, I respect the fact that Drs. Bale and Doneen have stepped away from a traditional risk factor driven approach, which fails miserably to identify most patients at risk, and have created a holistic approach to cardiovascular wellness. They utilize an approach that identifies root causes of disease, inflammation in the artery wall, genetic predispositions, and plaque at a stage where true prevention of events is possible. They take a true N of 1 approach to prevention and I really enjoyed the weekend preceptorship course, which I can only compare to binge-watching an engaging cardiovascular wellness show.”

Louis Malinow, MD
MDVIP-affiliated physician & ASH-certified Hypertension Specialist, Diplomate, American Board of Clinical Lipidology

“Drs. Bale and Doneen have been the leaders, providing landmark research that proved oral pathogens from periodontal disease are causal in cardiovascular disease. This is a game changer, cementing the link between oral and systemic health, uniting dentistry and medicine. Drs. Bale and Doneen are changing the face of arterial diseases, utilizing our best current evidence base. In addition to progressing our understanding of heart attacks and strokes, they have identified the role oral bacteria play in these diseases. The science is compelling and clear. Their preceptorship is a two-day information-rich program that provides all practitioners with the information they need to treat patients better. They have touched my life both professionally and personally. I strongly recommend this program for all serious dental professionals.”

V. Kim Kutsch, DMD
Past President of the American Academy of Laser Dentistry and CEO of CariFree

“The BaleDoneen Preceptorship Course revolutionized my ability to halt and even reverse arterial diseases and diabetes.  Incorporating the latest and best science for preventing arterial diseases and diabetes is impossible without a clear strategy.  The preceptorship provides both the foundation and the strategy.  My patients will be forever grateful!”

David B. Wright MD
Medical Director, Adventia & Premier Prevention internist

“This course is the most important event I have ever attended in my 22 years of practice! It elegantly and practically presented a powerful model of how to diagnose early and very effectively treat the most important and prevalent human disease, atherosclerosis! Every primary care doctor in the United States should attend this course!”

Gary Blume, MD, PhD, Washington

“An incredible resource on advanced, but very personalized treatment of vascular risk.”

Randy Baggesen, MD, Virginia

“This high-energy, intensive, evidence-based, two-day course makes a compelling case that heart attacks and strokes can be prevented by individualized assessment of the high risk factors and indicators. My patients will appreciate the application of this approach in my office practice. Thank you Dr. Bale and Ms. Doneen.”

Ed Friedler, MD, Virginia

“This course is designed to comprehensively improve one’s knowledge of identification of those at risk for CAD/CVD risk and absolutely control the outcomes of their patients in such a life altering way. This is the best course I’ve ever attended with regard to the protection of my patients from the devastating effects of CAD/CVD. I would recommend this course only to those who are serious about improving the longevity of their patients.”

David Izenberg, DO, Arizona

“I am pleased to have found people who are as interested in atherosclerosis and have figured it out. They have stayed on top of the scientific developments and are able to integrate it together in a way that I can bring it directly to my practice.”

Stanley Sharp, MD, Kansas

“After meeting Bale and Doneen, I no longer feel that we have to practice preventative medicine at the edge of a cliff.”

Ryan Dirks, PA-C (physician assistant–certified), Washington

“I found the course invaluable and feel it should be mandatory for all physicians and primary care practitioners to attend to help decrease CHD/CVD.”

Rakesh C. Patel, MD, Arizona

“This week has been exhilarating and exhausting. It seems as though the majority of my patients (and I see 35–40 per day) need to be “recalibrated” per the BaleDoneen Method… My patients’ eyes are wide open and jaws are dropping as I blow them away with triple the passion, enthusiasm, and evidence that I normally show…I’ve been running more than an hour later than usual every day, but the payoff this week was when a longstanding, overweight, midlife, female patient with multiple unaddressed risk factors calmly looked at her watch after I concluded my comments and said: ‘Wow, doctor, you’ve never spent that much time with me….’ In the hallway of my office I have a huge picture of some beautiful sand dunes with a caption that says: ‘A mind once stretched by a new idea never regains its original dimension.’ ….As I walked past it for the millionth time on Monday, I glanced at it and smiled to myself, knowing that, after this weekend, it now carries a very different meaning…I am very grateful for the vast amount of time, thought, effort, and passion you both have put into this.”

David Garza, DO, Arizona

“[This] is a well-organized, non-biased course to assist physicians in providing a rational, evidence-based, comprehensive approach to correcting the underlying causes which drive heart disease and stroke. I would recommend this course to any physician interested in providing better care for their patients.”

Marina Johnson, MD, Texas, author of Outliving Your Ovaries: An  Endocrinologist Weighs the Risks and Rewards of Treating Menopause with Hormone Replacement Therapy

“This course shows a clear pathway to coronary disease prevention and stabilization that I will apply to every patient I see. I’m worried about my colleagues who don’t take the course!”

Bruce R. McCurdy, MD, Maryland

“The ideal would be if every CEO in America would actually say to their medical staff, ‘I am going to bring the BaleDoneen course to this facility’…when we hand these tools to the family physician, the internist, the cardiologist, the lipidologist, we will start to see our population be healthier and happier and in this economic environment it will be less expensive… I do believe [Bradley and Amy] harbor the secret of success for treating patients with cardiovascular illness.”

Melissa Walton-Shirley, MD, Kentucky

“This course validates an effective paradigm for diagnosing cardiac disease and stroke prevention with information toward the tools available to all providers. Imagine what could actually happen, lives that could be changed and/or saved if more medical providers could look through this wonderful kaleidoscope!”

Candice Nicoll, ARNP, Port Charlotte, FL.

“This course was fantastic.”

Donald Russo, MD, Tennessee
