What To Expect With Your CIMT Review

If you already have CIMT results, this visit helps you understand what they actually mean and what to do next.

  • Schedule a short visit with a BaleDoneen licensed provider to review your existing CIMT results. This visit is educational and free.

Step 2. Understand Your Artery Health
  • Your provider explains what your CIMT shows and how it relates to heart attack and stroke risk, including whether plaque or artery thickening is present for your age and sex.

Step 3. Start Telemedicine Care If Needed
  • If artery disease is found, you may choose to enroll in the BaleDoneen telemedicine program. This includes advanced testing and a full provider review to identify what is injuring your arteries.

Step 4. Ongoing Support and Monitoring
  • Care focuses on stopping progression of artery disease over time through provider guidance, follow up testing, and continued support using the BaleDoneen Method.

Medical Disclaimer

The Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) scan and any related measurements, findings, or interpretations are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, nor should they be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

CIMT results represent a single assessment of arterial wall thickness and plaque burden at the time of imaging and must be interpreted in the context of the patient’s complete medical history, risk factors, symptoms, laboratory data, and other diagnostic studies. CIMT findings alone cannot determine cardiovascular risk or clinical outcomes.

Clinical decisions should only be made by a qualified healthcare professional. Patients should not make changes to medications, lifestyle, or treatment plans based solely on CIMT results without consulting their physician or other licensed healthcare provider.

If you have symptoms suggestive of cardiovascular disease or concerns regarding your health, seek prompt medical evaluation from a qualified professional.
